Sibella
was born in Africa in the first year of
the new Millennium. Her mother, Hannia is
a Fine Arts graduate and freelance décor
stylist who is now the chief co-ordinator
and retail manager of the SIBELLA
range. Her granny is Marianne Fassler, her
great grandmother is an artist and her
great great grandmother was 100 years old
in the year of Sibella’s birth. Her
lineage is rich and exotic, creative and
strong. Sibella has clear blue eyes and a
killer smile. Her contemporaries are Rocco
Ritchie and Dylan Douglas. Her granny
understands the power of dressing and the
impact of great personal style. SIBELLA’s
surroundings are colourful and richly
textures, her stories are African legends
and European fairytales, her lullabies
Afrikaans and Xhosa.
The objective with
the SIBELLA
range is to develop a local range to an
international standard using South African
creative skills. Expect colour and style
funky prints and electric combinations.
The trend in
Europe and in US is for designer labels to
extend their clothing ranges to include
baby wear and accessories. Burberry,
Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Kenzo, Tommy
Hillfiger and many more have done so.
The SIBELLA
range caters for girls and boys from 3
months to 6 years. The range will be
stocked by Loads of Living in Emmerentia,
Johannesburg, Fourways Crossing in Sandton
and Menlyn Park Shopping Centre in
Pretoria.
The positioning of
this range in Loads of Living is strategic
and measures up to examples like The
Conran shop in London and ABC Home stores
in New York.
Marianne Fassler
has also started special Children’s
couture division in her studio to cater
for custom made items such as dreamy
vintage and contemporary Christening
robes, fantasy Flowergirl dresses and
fancy dress items. |
